Deviation Actions
Weekly prompts are not subject to the regular submission guidelines. As long as you include what prompt you used in the description of your deviation and submit it to the proper folder, it will be accepted.
This week's prompt is...
To write about a person standing alone somewhere. Are they standing in a park, a city, the middle of the ocean? Why are they there, and what happened to make them be there?
Use any format you'd like and be as creative as you want.
Happy writing

Writing 101: Semicolons, colons, and the em dash.
Everyone has seen the semicolon, colon, and the em dash at one point or another. The question is then, how do you use them properly?

From now on, in order to submit any new piece to any folder, you MUST first critique one of the existing pieces in the gallery. You can either answer any questions the writer may have regarding their work or simply write a fairly detailed critique. Welcome, everyone, to the group!
Thank you so much for joining! If you haven't done so already, please read our rules/guidelines. Also, please spread the blacklist (http://poem-a-day.deviantart.com/journal/DA-Blacklist-524736366) around so that we can better protect ourselves from hackers and attacks. This group was created to replace Poem-A-Day, although unlike Poem-A-Day, we accept all kinds of literature!
Periodically, I will post a variety of prompts that members may use. I will also post lessons on grammar, structure, syntax, etc. If a member or any deviant has a lesson they would like posted to the group, please message me, Majikku7, with a link to the lesson.
